Jessica Mathon, LMFT

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist #84884 JessicaMathon@walkintuit.com

My therapeutic work is grounded in a deep connection to spirit, nature, and presence. Drawing from my personal experience with shamanic practices, a lifetime of observing human and animal behavior, and a commitment to embodied healing, I support clients in reconnecting to themselves in meaningful ways. I integrate mindfulness, guided visualization, meditation, creative expression, physical movement, and nature-based experiences into my sessions.

A significant part of my practice includes Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, where I partner with horses—sensitive, non-judgmental beings that naturally attune to human emotion. These powerful co-facilitators help clients access healing through in-the-moment connection, regulation, and reflection.

Education & Clinical Experience

I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles (2010) and have over a decade of experience supporting adolescents and adults navigating trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and substance use recovery. I am a trained EMDR therapist and have worked in diverse clinical settings, including community clinics, psychiatric hospitals, private practice, and equine environments.

My training includes:

EAGALA certification as both a Mental Health and Equine Specialist

✔ Trauma-focused Yoga

✔ Clinical work with survivors of sexual abuse

✔ International service in communities affected by war, genocide, and the AIDS epidemic
